About Ramon
Ramon Alvarez is a retired corporate executive, and now small business owner, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is President and CEO of Alvarez Enterprises, Inc., and owner of Minuteman Press of Colorado Springs. He consults businesses of all sizes directly, or through the SBA’s Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center. He is Berlitz Certified Bilingual in Spanish, and holds a BA in Business Management and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and International Management. His passion, and his Why, is to serve others and pay forward the mentorship he has received along his professional journey. He believes the USA continues to be the land of opportunity, and he strives to help others who work hard at achieving their goals but need resources along the way.

As a successful operations executive leading large teams and budgets in the Americas, Ramon has applied an innate ability to bridge the gap between vision and flawless execution, creating exceptional results and outstanding customer experiences. Bringing corporate vision to life requires many moving parts, and Ramon helps businesses apply strategic and critical thinking to apply fundamental elements like planning, organizing, empowering, and following up. Through formal and experiential development, Ramon has developed expertise rarely found in executives, providing multiple perspectives to businesses who want to launch or grow through their people and processes.
Extensive Expertise
Over the course of his extensive leadership career, Ramon has successfully applied people, product, and process excellence in different lines of business, including hard lines, home improvement, automotive, food service, business & industry services, and grocery, among others. He has led large teams in South America, Canada, and the USA. His proven ability in domestic and international settings, and agility to lead teams in small, large, and multi-unit settings has allowed him to the expertise to help businesses grow through consulting and marketing.
A Diverse Edge
A first-generation immigrant from Guadalajara, Mexico, Ramon grew up and worked at a large farm in the Central Valley of California. His parents were both migrant farmworkers and instilled in him the work ethic he’s applied throughout his professional journey. The eldest of 6 children, he has experienced DEI opportunities first-hand, and applies real-life learning coupled with business acumen when helping businesses problem solve. His career has allowed him responsibilities for large businesses in the United States, Canada, and South America. He has opened several locations from the ground up and operated large and small formats. Ramon is certified Berlitz bilingual in Spanish, and prides in giving back to the community.

Ramon drives for DEI through behaviors that create integration without alienation. He strives to develop diverse talent in the business community through mentorship, preparing them to succeed and creating opportunities. Ramon serves the Pikes Peak business community in many volunteer roles, including 2023 Chair of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, Director on the Board for the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Director on the Board for the Southern Colorado Better Business Bureau, and Consultant for the SBA’s Pikes Peak SBDC, among others.
